I also figured out that the blower fan spins much faster on these than I believe is necessary to cool just the VRM's, and creates an unnecessary amount of noise. I can confirm that the pinout is identical to a 4pin CPU fan, just smaller. I haven't installed everything yet, but I did get to messing around with the wires, my multimeter and a spare power supply.
I can use 4 junk fans (2 for each radiator) hollow them out and just keep the frames, and then use the extra long radiator screws to attach everything. 50mm is about two fan widths, and I have found extra long radiator screws that are that long. This isn't the end of the world, I can still work with it though. I was suspecting they might be short, but I wasn't expecting them to be THIS short. It looks like the tubes on the H90's are between 45 and 50mm (~2") too short to reach the front of the 750D Might be a while until I pull it off though, as it turns out the H90 has shorter tubing than I thought.
(In that last pic, I want to join the blue wire from my PWM splitter above, with the blue wire on the GPU fan.) I got a couple of Corsair HG10 N980's, which I plan to hook up with H90's in the front of my 750D.
Now in my case, they aren't strictly case fans. So when the on board GPU fan is spinning at 50%, so is the case fan. Once you do that, if you have a 4 pin case fan, it should obey the same duty cycle commands as the on board GPU fan does. In my case there are two, because I have two GPU's and two case fans I plan on hooking up. All you need is something like that (I got a three way PWM splitter, and cut off the wires I didn't need) and then you connect the blue wire to the PWM wire on the GPU. Many laptops fan came with only 3 pinout,but as long they can share same ground between the data and vcc,3 or 4 pin seems like work like the same.If you look at the pic above with the molex connectors, fan connectors and blue wire. The second one,since theres one pinout left,there seems possibility of VCC,Data+,Data-,GND pinout.īut as long the motherboard gain temperature data from sync/data pinout from the fan itself,it should be fine,thats why you can turn the laptop into fanless by bypassing the data/sync (cut the fan main power cable) without the VCC for fan itself. The first one,since i see the pics showing the first pinout on the fan doesnt soldered,the 2nd pinout was the VCC (5V) and the 3rd was data/sync (temp,etc) and the 4th are the GND,the 3rd seems the Data/sync and that shows 1V+,but i think it do share the data/sync ground pinout with gnd pinout like the common laptop fan pinout
